This gown is named after Madame de Pompadour, one of the most famous women of the Rococo era. As the official mistress of King Louis XV, she became not only a political figure but also a symbol of refined taste and artistic patronage.
The outfit consists of three separate pieces, allowing flexibility in styling and layering:
• Skirt
• Stomacher (decorative front panel)
• Open robe (gown) with Watteau pleats
Together these elements create the characteristic layered silhouette of 18th-century court fashion.
The gown is made from 100% cotton satin, available in patterned or solid colors.
The satin weave gives the fabric a subtle sheen and smooth surface, reminiscent of the luxurious textiles used in historical court garments.
Cotton makes the dress breathable and comfortable to wear for extended periods.
Construction
Each garment is handmade, with seams sewn on a sewing machine to ensure durability and long-lasting wear.
